THE RRS GLOSSARY
Why it matters to a project
Awareness should be appropriate to the audience and site. It helps people understand when a concern needs to be raised, without implying competence to investigate or handle ordnance.
PROJECT EXAMPLE
Site staff receive a briefing consistent with the project’s assessment and agreed procedures.
A useful distinction
Awareness attendance is not an EOD qualification.
Questions to ask when it appears in a scope
- What area, activity and decision does this term refer to?
- What evidence or output will the project team receive?
- What limitations need to be carried into the next stage?
