THE RRS GLOSSARY
Why it matters to a project
The reason for each measure should be explained. A proportionate plan matches the evidence and proposed activity rather than adopting the same controls on every site.
PROJECT EXAMPLE
The team agrees targeted support for a particular phase rather than assuming identical coverage across the whole development.
A useful distinction
Mitigation does not mean that every remaining uncertainty has disappeared.
Questions to ask when it appears in a scope
- What area, activity and decision does this term refer to?
- What evidence or output will the project team receive?
- What limitations need to be carried into the next stage?
