THE RRS GLOSSARY
Why it matters to a project
UXO risk should be considered when planning relevant ground-disturbing activities. The schedule, locations and depths give the UXO specialist the information needed to scope advice.
PROJECT EXAMPLE
A consultant provides a borehole plan and proposed depths alongside the site’s existing assessment.
A useful distinction
A geotechnical investigation is not automatically a dedicated UXO investigation.
Questions to ask when it appears in a scope
- What area, activity and decision does this term refer to?
- What evidence or output will the project team receive?
- What limitations need to be carried into the next stage?
