THE RRS GLOSSARY
Why it matters to a project
The area, depth, acceptance requirements and limitations must be explicit. Personnel, equipment, permissions and reporting need to suit the specific task.
PROJECT EXAMPLE
A client agrees a defined clearance scope after assessment and investigation have established the requirement.
A useful distinction
A watching brief or limited target investigation should not be described as unrestricted full-site clearance.
Questions to ask when it appears in a scope
- What area, activity and decision does this term refer to?
- What evidence or output will the project team receive?
- What limitations need to be carried into the next stage?
